1. Introductions, apologies and substitutions
The Chair welcomed everyone to Committee. There were no apologies.
The Chair declared that she was a season ticket holder for Rhyl FC.
2. Inquiry into the Welsh Premier League - Evidence session
The Chair welcomed Jonathan Ford and John Deakin from the Football Association of Wales (FAW). The Members questioned the witnesses.
The FAW agreed to provide the Committee with further information on:
- The current support provided by both central and local government in Wales for the Welsh premier league and suggestions for the support in the future.
- The work being undertaken with respect to tackling racism and in reaching out to more diverse footballing communities such as women, BME and LGBT people.
3. Inquiry into the Welsh Premier League - Evidence session
The Chair welcomed Neil Ward from the Welsh Football Trust. The Members questioned the witnesses.
The Football Trust agreed to provide further information on the percentage of Women and BME people that have coaching qualifications.
4. Inquiry into the Welsh Premier League - Evidence session
The Chair welcomed Tom Morgan, manager of Aberystwyth Town FC. The Members questioned the witness.
5. Motion under Standing Order 17.42 to resolve to exclude the public from the meeting for the following business:
The Committee agreed to resolve to exclude the public from the meeting for item 6.
6. National Assembly for Wales (Official Languages) Bill: Consideration of draft report
The Committee considered the draft report on the National Assembly for Wales (Official Languages) Bill.
